This is my favorite piece of equipment, a nice American-made Fender P-Bass with the sunburst finish. I got it in high school and it is definitely my most used piece of equipment and the only bass I use live. It's also the only bass I've recorded with so far. I recently needed to repair the 1/4" jack because of all the wear-and-tear it has gone through, but now it works just fine.

Whenever I have the opportunity I like to plug it right into the house system via a DI-Box, because it just sounds that good to my ears. While recording I usually do the same thing.

Look at that nice tweed case.
This one is older than my main P-Bass, and has a different sunburst finish, as you can see. It also has a maple fretboard vs. the rosewood on my other model.  Overall it has a much brighter sound and as a result gets used less, as I prefer a nice round, smooth sound. I have all the hardware, like the pickup cover and bridge cover seen here, but I don't have them attached currently.

Yup. The Paul McCartney bass. It's lightweight. It's old. It's made fairly poorly, but it sounds very good. Paul McCartney has to be one of my biggest influences when it comes to playing the bass, as well as just music in general. It sounds great, and I have been using it a lot more recently. It's just so dead sounding, it's wonderful.

Another bass model used by Paul McCartney as well as other notable bass players like Mike Rutherford of Genesis (good Genesis mind you, Peter Gabriel-era Genesis) and Chris Squire of Yes. It just looks so sexy doesn't it?
